So Hats had the brilliant idea of buying cheap vistaprint free business cards (they end up costing a little less than $10 after S+H) and using them as productivity tokens, and we got talking about rewards.

And we were discussing the idea/issue of not being sure how to reward yourself. Because one my end, rewards based on money become useless because...I have no money, no matter how many productivity token I may have.

And we were discussing maybe being able to trade them from other things from productivity members/other people who wanted in on this (And I'd like to open this up to my plurk as well cause I have a few people there who might be into it)

We were thinking whatever you offered yourself up to would have to be free/cheap for you to make. And that things that cost real money/shipping and handling would have that worked into their "price." One because we don't want people spending a lot of their own money all the time, and two because once too much money is involved, especially for something trust based it can get unpretty.

So things like art trades, small crafts, icons, etc.

We were also trying to figure out a way to work the reward system that would work for everyone, since some peoples goals break nicely into small chunks and others don't, so we need something flexible to encompass different goals. And we want a way to consistently have rewards, so that someone can't set really high goals ("I will give myself one card for cleaning the entire house!") and someones can't set really low goals ("I opened MS word!") and both get the same reward.

We were also thinking that there should be slots open that the person offering the prize could alter (Like I can have 3 drawing slots open at time) so no one get overwhelmed. And also that you should limit the amount of what your offering to a few things, even if you can do a little bit of everything, just do it stays simple. And everyone can set their own price I would think in general things are going to be pretty pricey in fake money terms. Like those prize catalogs you got as a kid. (But maybe not that much cause those were ridiculous.)

So yeah, anyone interested?
